What type of family bedroom has The Ashe Hotel?
At The Ashe Hotel, we have two types of family rooms. The very popular Family Bunkbed Bedrooms and the Family Interconnecting Bedrooms.
The Family Bunkbed Bedroom sleeps a family of five comfortably with a double bed and a set of bunkbeds with a double and single bed.
The Family Interconnecting Bedroom sleeps a family of up to six comfortably, these two interconnecting bedrooms have two options; Double and Single bedroom interconnected with a triple bedroom or a Double bedroom interconnected with a triple bedroom.

How do you book a family stay at The Ashe Hotel?
There are three ways to make your family reservation. Book online on our website theashehotel.ie, phone the hotel on 0667106300 and a member of our team will discuss with you the best options for your stay or email us info@theashehotel.ie and let us know when you are arriving, how long is your stay and how many adults and children are staying with us and our team will make recommendations for you.
What family activities and amenities are near The Ashe Hotel?
As The Ashe Hotel is located in town centre you are central to lots of family friendly activities. Here are a few of our favourite family activities in Tralee.
Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco & Activity Park – is open daily and has a toddler playground, pedalo boats, outdoor climbing wall, eco tours and more.
Sandy Feet Farm is open daily throughout the summer, this family friendly petting farm has tractor rides, playground, sensory garden and much more!
If the rain does appear during your stay The Playdium or Bowling Buddies are on the doorstep to Manor West Retail Park and an ideal spot for some family fun!
The Aqua Dome is one of Ireland’s largest waterparks, expect indoor and outdoor slides, rapid rivers and more. There is also Aqua Golf an 18 hole mini – golf course.
Tralee Town Park is walking distance from The Ashe Hotel, a lovely space for a run around, there’s a large playground, sensory garden and every Sunday the Kids Park Run takes place at 9.30am.
The Tralee – Fenit Greenway is moderate cycle to the seaside village of Fenit, a small fishing village that is very popular with locals. Home to a Blue Flag Beach, playground and a selection of café this is a lovely visit either by bike or by car.

Is The Ashe Hotel Wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the ground floor is fully accessible. There are two lifts servicing both bedroom floors and we have three accessible bedrooms. We have a detailed accessible guide to read and download here.
Is there family friendly dining at The Ashe Hotel?
Yes, we have a buffet and á la carte menu at breakfast and we have a Children’s Menu available for lunch and dinner. You can view our menus here.
What time is breakfast/lunch/dinner served at The Ashe Hotel?* Please note these may change depending on season
Residents Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am Monday to Friday and from 7am to 10.30am Saturday and Sunday.
Brunch is served from 9am to 12noon everyday. Brunch times are subject to change depending on business levels.
Lunch is served from 12noon to 4pm every day. Dinner is served from 5pm to 9pm everyday.
Do I need a credit card to make a reservation?
Yes, we do require card details to confirm all room bookings. We pre-authorise the card and no payment will be taken before you check-in. Once you arrive at the hotel you can then pay on check-in.
I would like to make a booking for someone else, how do I pay for their stay?
If you booked through our website, please contact the hotel and let reservations know that you would like to pay for the booking with the card provided at the booking stage. If you are booking directly with the hotel by phone or email, please let the reservations agent know that you would like to prepay for the booking and they will be able to assist you.
Do you have free car parking available at The Ashe Hotel?
As we are in Tralee town centre we do not have a carpark but we do have on-street parking outside the front of the hotel. These spaces are reserved for patrons and guests of the hotel only and are free. The spaces are locked but if there is an open space you are more than welcome to take it or please call the hotel and a member of the team will open a space for you. We cannot reserve spaces for guests unless there are mobility issues or the guests has an accessible parking badge.
If all of our spaces are full, there is a multi-storey carpark on our street. They offer a reduced overnight rate of €10 for guests of the hotel which is open from 8am until 6.30pm Monday to Saturday. The multi-storey will open for our guests to remove their cars on a Sunday from 10am until 12pm. There is also public parking near-by but this parking would be charged by the hour. The public on street parking is free from 6.00pm to 8.30am the following morning and all-day Sunday.
What are our check-in/check-out times at The Ashe Hotel?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 12 noon.
Late check-out to 1pm/1.30pm is €25 or early check-in from 11am is €25 (subject to availability)
Do you have Free Wi-Fi at The Ashe Hotel?
Yes, we have wifi that is password protected. We can provide the password to guests at Reception
Are Pets Permitted at The Ashe Hotel?
Yes, all well behaved dogs are welcome. We have a maximum of one dog per room and the largest size of dog we allow is a standard Labrador. Cost per night is €25 which includes welcome complimentary ‘doggie bag’, which includes treats, water & clean-up bags. When making your hotel reservation please let our team know that you are travelling with a dog and the dog will be staying with you.
Dogs must be kept close and on a lead at all times. Dog bed, bowl & towel are available on request. Only access to the outside Garden Terrace for dining, dogs are not allowed to enter the bar or restaurant area with the exception of service dogs. Dogs are not to be left alone in their room and are not allowed on the bedroom furniture. Guests are liable for any damage caused by their dog.
We reserve the right to ask any dog to be removed from the hotel at any time. Please note that The Ashe Hotel is unfortunately unable to cater for certain dog breeds, please see list of controlled breeds on the citizen information site here. Please read our dog friendly policy here.
Our Little Brother Roundy’s Bar (located across from The Ashe) is dog friendly also with water bowls and treats available for your dog while you enjoy a drink.
How far is The Ashe Hotel from Tralee Train and Bus Station?
We are located a few minutes’ drive or about a seven minute walk from the Tralee Bus and Train Station.
