Rose of Tralee International Festival

The Rose of Tralee Festival takes place every August in Tralee and this year the Festival will be celebrating its 61st year. The Festival is anticipated by locals and visitors alike. The schedule of events for the Festival has yet to be confirmed, however the two night televised Rose of Tralee selection is to take place in the Munster Technological University’s Tralee campus and will be broadcast by RTÉ.
Those visiting Tralee for the Rose of Tralee Festival will enjoy all the traditional events that take place in Tralee town including the Rose of Tralee lights, parades, fireworks, family entertainment, street performers and much more!

Photo: The Rose Wall at Tralee Town Park. The Rose Wall was erected to commemorate the Rose of Tralee tradition. There is a life – size bronze statue depicting the original Roes of Tralee Mary O’Connor and the author of the Rose of Tralee ballad William Pembroke Mulchinock. Sculpted by an Irish sculptor Jeanne Rynhart and unveiled in 2009.
